InformationThere are 15 Trial Court Law Libraries located across Massachusetts to serve the courts, attorneys and the public. Every library has public access computers that have access to West Law, Lexis, Hein Online, and other legal resources. Scanning and printing (30 free pages) are available at all libraries. The print collection includes Extensive Massachusetts law materials, including MCLEs, Nolo Books, and a variety of federal or general law materials.
Additional InformationThe librarians recommend looking at their law by subject pages and utilizing the online services highlighted above if you are unable to come into the library. Patrons that bring a thumb drive can scan documents right to the drive.

SecurityThe Social Law Library is located in the Courthouse of the Supreme
Judicial Court and Appeals Court of Massachusetts. Visitors will need to go through a security screening upon entering.
UsageThe Social Law Library is a private membership research library.
You do not have to be an attorney to become a member, but there is a yearly subscription fee to access the library. Pro Se litigants may be issued a courtesy pass if they demonstrate a need to access resources that are unavailable at public libraries. Courtesy passes are only good for one calendar day and cannot be renewed. For more information, see here.
